After re-opening on Dec. 3, 2009 after 9 months of renovation transformation, we welcomed 2010 with a fresh, bold makeover. The NEW Terminal Pub was born and man, did we have fun this year! We built a fantastic team of passionate people who are dedicated to our vision for delivering Redefined Neighbourhood Pub Culture. Guests expressed their love for our tasty menu offering of great, quality food and drinks. We demonstrated our knack for providing a good time with awesome weekly events such as Poker Night and Live Acoustic. When it came to any special event where costumes were in order, our team rose to the challenge every time. Highlights were helmets and jerseys for Superbowl, frills and lederhosen for Oktoberfest, and the freakiest costumes for our Get Your Freak On! Halloween Party. We have no doubt 2011 is going to be even better and be a complete blast. Thanks to everyone who have shown their support for the Terminal over the past year. We could not have done it without you!

Well, the obvious answer is the Terminal, of course, but really, there is a whole lot more that this city has to offer than most people realize.
For one, it definitely has history. Did you know it was the first place the British set up shop when they settled the West of Canada? New Westminster was actually the capital of the West before it was moved to Victoria. A modern day benefit for a city with so much age is all of its amazing and beautiful historic buildings. Take a stroll along Columbia Street and you’ll know what I mean. It’s a gorgeous strip with all the fixings of a great downtown area for the future: wide streets, old-style lamp posts, incredible views of the Fraser River, and the main attraction, great historic architecture.
New West also has a very strong sense of community. The Terminal has been a landmark in the city since 1940 and has been a gathering place for members of the community for over 70 years. The Terminal is one of a handful of neighbourhood pubs that serve as the backbone of the city’s social scene. The city is filled with dedicated organizations such as City Hall, Tourism New West, Hyack Association, Chamber of Commerce, and Arts Council that are comprised of passionate individuals who are excited about continually improving New West for its residents and business. The local lacrosse team, the New West Salmonbellies, are the community’s pride and joy when it comes to sports. Come to a game at Queen’s Park during the season and enjoy an evening of rootin’ and tootin’ with an arena filled with dedicated fans of all ages.
In the last 5 years, the city has changed a lot and it continues to transform. New high rise development has transformed the downtown area and the quayside area on the river boardwalk. Many exciting development projects are underway such as Pier Park, Plaza 88, an integrated civic arts centre, and the overall downtown revitalization plan to bring the city’s amenities up to speed with the growing numbers of new and diverse residents that are being attracted to the city. The Terminal Pub is a flagship business that is prides itself as a leader in serving the growing and diverse needs of a transforming community.
The Terminal is proud to call New Westminster home.
